Nana`s Irish Pub in Newport

Lotsa fun Irish dishes...their shepherd's pie was quite good. Nice patio seating, friendly servers, quality food.

Probably more of a 3.5 star than 4, but I felt a 3 was harsh.I liked the location of this place - nice sized outside patio area and only about 2 blocks from Nye beach, although it is a short drive away from the Newport main drag at the harbor.Our service was polite. The beer selection is good, and they do a proper Guiness.Food was pretty good. There was certainly a lot of it, and the Irish sausages were excellent and actually like the real deal, the Black Pudding was good, but it was a bit cold and presented in a not entirely appealing way. Never had chips (French fries) on an Irish/Brittish breakfast.

This restaurant made me think of the comfort of home and everything Irish that I know of. The food was fantastic, the beer was cold, and the staff was kind and ready to offer suggestions when I asked for them. I'll definitely be back the next time I visit the coast!

The curry vegetarian pot pie is INCREDIBLE. 10/10 one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten. Service was great as well!! Very much recommend!

We really enjoyed our time in this cozy Irish pub. Great food - we tried the shepherd’s pie, the chicken pot pie, and bangers & mash - all looked and tasted delicious. And then we had to splurge on the banoffee pie ... whoa, amazing! (Make sure you split it with someone!) Good, hot coffee with Bailey’s and excellent service. We will definitely recommend and return.

Nice place. Ironic that they have a menu item called Bunratty, but no salt served with the soda bread. Also wearing masks at an "Irish" establishment. Guinness pie was worth ordering again as well as the calamari.

We were really looking forward to our visit here but it was so disappointing. I ordered the cheesesteak sandwich which was flavorless and tasted like Wesson oil. My husband got the Ruben which also had very little flavor. We saw our server twice, to order and pay. No one checked to see if everything was okay (dressings and other things were wrong). Just so disappointing! We really want to support local businesses, but please! Give us something to support!

This place is DELICIOUS! A must go to with every visit. Not once have I had an issue here. The house sauce is addicting.

Anytime we come through Newport, we have to stop at Nana's! The food is wonderful, and the atmosphere is very nice. The bangers and mash is incredible!

Always the best Irish food. Best music playlists. Little bummed they don't stock Celebrator anymore but that's not there fault. The Guiness is always poured to perfection!

Excellent food, wonderful staff, huge dog friendly patio. What’s not to love? The only bad thing was the menu is so chock full of deliciousness that it was almost impossible to decide. Went with the shrimp sandwich and clam chowder. Was soooo good.

I recently returned for a Reuben sandwich & was delighted to find it just as yummy as years gone by. Tender corned beef piled high with a small glass of Irish beer. If you are ever in the area, check it out! (Here's a pic of the half I took home.)

Great Irish fare with a fun vibe in a beautiful location. One of our "must-stop" places when we visit the coast.Today is my birthday, and we hit up my favorite breakfast spot, Nana's Irish Pub. I tried the Traditional Irish Breakfast a few years ago and fell in love with the hearty meal. Rounded off with an Irish coffee, it is my favorite birthday breakfast.The food is delicious and they hit the mix of real Irish food & "Irish themed food for everyone else" right on the mark. Something for everyone here.What we really appreciated was the free meal for kids under 5. What a great way to show families that you understand young ones and love serving families! My boy had a blast, running around our patio table and gorging himself on soda bread. A fitting memory for an excellent birthday tradition.Nana's- thank you!

Fantastic food. From appetizer to dessert this place does not disappoint. Can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu!

Nana's pub is awesome! If you want what I assume is traditional Irish fare (at least it's labeled as such), then this is the dining experience for you! The food is fabulous, particularly the Corned Beef and Cabbage. Nana's is the only place I've found that does it right! For dessert, the Banoffee Pie is a must! The staff are friendly and the music sets the mood. For St. Patty's outside of March, stop into Nana's Irish Pub!

My girlfriend and I went here for the first time today, and before starting I will note that it was about 5 P.M. so they were pretty busy. It didn't take a terribly long time to be seated, and they were pretty packed. The staff however were all very friendly. The waitress that we had was prompt with trying to to serve everyone. Our drinks were all good, no issues there, and we didn't have to continually wait to receive more. Ok! The food. We got the irish sausage with mashed potatoes, green peas, and a mushroom soup and the Reuben sandwich with fries. Both tasted great and was one of the best reubens I've ever had. I even ordered a side of their signature hot sauce which tasted really great. The mashed potatoes were disappointing and the green peas were bland. I would still recommend and will more than likely be back, but I can't quite give 5 stars today.

Amazing Irish fare, great beer, & an authentic feeling Irish Pub. Go there and experience the awesome for yourself. Everything on the menu is great, you can't go wrong.

Enjoyed my visit. I'm simple and had a cheeseburger, it was delicious. My friends enjoyed the meatloaf. Saw a repair needed in the bar area, but it was obvious that staff were aware. Will definitely go back again for another meal and drinks! The staff were friendly

So happy we found this little gem. Great service, wonderful selection. We chose the Brea plate which was amazing. My husband chose the shepards pie, he said it was great. I chose a cup if chowder which was so flavorful and the pop of corn gave it a fresh taste.

Everytime husband n I come here from traveling, WE ordered BANGERS NMASHED POTATOES.PEAS.AWESOME PEOPLE NPLACE. TRUE IRISH FOOD.

We go to Nana's Pub every time we're in Newport. The food is AWESOME and they are very welcoming, the environment is great, and super family friendly. Kids 5 and under eat free and get to pick 3 things off a menu!

I’d give it 5 stars but the shrimp appetizer was cooked in oil that was too cool so it was oily. It tasted great, though. We had a wonderful waitress who made great recommendations. I had the shepherds pie and my wife had the lamb pie. Generous portions- lamb pie could have fed us both! Shepherds pie had rich, beefy flavor. Get it with the cheese and hot sauce extra - it enhances the dish. Lamb pie was very flavorful but not as rich as the Shepherds pie which is good. Tender lamb and not dry. It’s a small, pubby atmosphere with plain tables. Pub decor. Plenty of Irish beers and whiskey. Highly recommended.

So much fun, dog friendly, and the food is great. We love the Gallway Pub in Ocean Shores and Nana's is another great find.

The food is SO tasty that I wish I lived closer so I could eat here much more often! We had a delicious dinner of fish and chips, meatloaf and mashed potatoes, and for our appetizer fried shrimp. All of the items were first-rate, authentic Irish cooking, and we were very pleased! Even the music was ideal and added to the pleasurable experience. Highly recommend!

Was out in Newport for a fun family get away, was trying out all the little pubs around, found this one and decided to give it a try, went in for a few drinks bartender had a very bad attitude with us. We would ask her questions about some vodkas and she would just reply with very bad attitude. Definitely won't try this one ever again. Found better ones around 🙂

Clean, good social distancing, and the baked brie was great!!

We got the shepherds pie w/ cheese, the meatloaf, and the curry. The worst of the three was the meatloaf and it was the best Resturant meatloaf I have ever had. The three plates fed the four of us well, and the servers where on top of their game. We shall return!

Oh wow!! What a great discovery! People I'm not kidding, I just ate the most incredible fish and chips of my entire life! And I know fish! Perfectly prepared and everything was mouthwateringly delicious 😋 I want to kiss the cook! Well done!!!

Best Sheppards pie I've ever had in my life. Whiskey sours were on point as well.

I called in an order for a corned beef and dinner to go. I went in a bit early to have a Guinness then brought the food back to my hotel room, opened the box and it was nothing but a mess of grizzly corned beef, overcooked cabbage mixture and mushy oversalted cabbage. I did call and share my concerns and got a rude reaction. They said I can come in for a refund the following day. (I gave them the receipt # and felt they could have handled it remotely. I didn't even want to think about it again, so I let it go. I regret that decision. Maybe because it was close to closing time, but not at all satisfied even though it's a cute Pub I probably wouldn't go there then.

Great staff and good drinks. Was pretty crowded but service was still great. Definitely check Nana's out if you're in the area or in the mood for a little Irish in your day!

This place has the BEST fish and chips I've ever had and I've eaten alot of of fish and chips.

Fantastic food. The service was pretty good. One server definitely stood out above the rest. Not sure what her name was, but she had short black hair. Whatever your name is, thank you! You made the dining experience just that much more enjoyable. Oh, I had the Shepherd's Pie. Loved it. Highly recommend Nana's Irish Pub!

Ordered fish and chips for curb side pick up. Specifically asked for utensils and ketchup but nothing in bag. Fish and chips were soggy and tasteless. Even though I waited 10 minutes that food was just sitting there. Cold slaw was hot from sitting around.
